Aug 20, 2019 Windows 10 automatic update from the older version to version 1803 that installed on 8/18. The Stellar Gain Cell Dac/Pre doesn't show up in the device manager, only in the event viewer. I may have, but I don't recall installing any drivers. I shot PS Audio a question about whether the GCD requires the driver via the link you provided.

yes- it kind of turned itself off after logging into windows despite that the led display actually lighted up twice during the boot up process. Rightfully, It should only in power saving mode(ie the led lights are dimmed) and I should be able to wake it up by touching the dac. But it somehow decided to shut itself down and the only way to wake it up is by replugging the usb manually. Initially i thought it was my psu thats not supplying enough output. As my system is still under warranty, the company helped to upgrade my psu to a 500w one.im currently running a gtx 1060 gpu and we believe that the new psu should be more than capable of powering the dac. r se too. And there is no new filmware update from Sennheiser for this dac. Also, my previous dac from Creative also had a similar problem. My initial thought was thst my old dac is spoilt so i replace it. Cheers!
